Saquarema hosts WSL REMA 2026 surfing festival

The WSL REMA 2026 festival concluded in Saquarema after a seven-day event at Itaúna Beach. The festival, which included international surfing competitions, skate, cinema, and music, featured the World Surf League (WSL) QS 6,000 International.

In the surfing finals, Jackson Bunch (HAW) won the men’s title by defeating Luke Tema (HAW), while Alyssa Spencer (USA) secured the women’s title after defeating Ariane Ochoa (ESP). The event’s inclusion in the WSL calendar provides significant ranking points for participating athletes.
