Sara Bongini wins second consecutive Italian clay pigeon shooting title

Sara Bongini has been crowned the Italian clay pigeon shooting champion for the second consecutive year. The athlete, a member of the Fiamme Oro Sports Group, secured the title at the Trap Concaverde in Lonato del Garda during the weekend of September 12-13.

Bongini achieved this victory despite competing with arm tendinitis, noting that the physical pain made the competition difficult. She faced high-level competition in the final, including an Olympic medalist and another Olympian. This title follows her recent successes in 2026, which include winning the Senior World Cup and gold at the Mediterranean Games. She is now preparing for the European Championships starting September 26 and the World Championships in November.
