Sara Carbonero maintains connection to childhood home in Toledo

Spanish journalist and Slowlove founder Sara Carbonero maintains a deep connection to her childhood roots in Corral de Almaguer, a municipality in Toledo with approximately 5,000 inhabitants.

Carbonero, who moved to Madrid for her career, purchased a 400-square-meter house near the town's Plaza Mayor in 2016 to serve as a personal refuge from the pace of the capital. The residence features traditional Manchegan architectural elements combined with a personal decor style emphasizing wood, neutral tones, and natural fibers.

She has frequently expressed pride in her rural upbringing, noting that the town provides an essential space to reconnect with her history and childhood memories.
