Sara Carbonero tours Ecuador's Quito, Amazon, and Galápagos

Spanish journalist Sara Carbonero has been traveling through Ecuador since early August alongside her partner, businessman José Luis ‘Jota’ Cabrera. The trip has taken them through several of the country's most prominent regions, including Quito, the Amazon, and the Galápagos Islands.

In Quito, Carbonero visited the Historic Center and the Oswaldo Guayasamín Museum House. Her journey continued into the Amazonian region near the Napo River, where she explored the jungle by canoe. Most recently, the pair visited the Galápagos Islands, participating in activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, and observing local wildlife, including sea lions.

The trip is described as an emotional and restorative journey following a difficult year for the journalist, which included a health emergency in early 2024 and the passing of her mother, Goyi Arévalo, in April.
