Sara Dal Bò wins European Youth weightlifting gold

Italian weightlifter Sara Dal Bò won the gold medal in the +77 kg Youth category at the European Youth and U15 Championships held in Pristina. Dal Bò achieved a total lift of 223 kg, consisting of 99 kg in the snatch and 124 kg in the clean and jerk.

During the snatch portion, Dal Bò successfully recovered after a failed first attempt at 99 kg to complete her second lift. In the clean and jerk, she successfully lifted 120 kg and 124 kg, though she was unable to complete a third attempt at 130 kg, which would have set a new European record.

The podium was completed by Yilmaz of Turkey, who took silver with 218 kg, and Komladze of Georgia, who took bronze with 217 kg. This victory follows Dal Bò’s recent successes, including a world youth silver medal in Colombia and a national title in Bari.
