SARA FC wins Togolese D2 Lonato championship

SARA FC de Bafilo has been crowned champion of the Togolese second division (D2 Lonato) following a 3-1 victory over JCA de Lomé in the playoff final. The decisive match took place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the MCP field in Atakpamé.

Both clubs had already secured promotion to the first division prior to the final. SARA FC's victory marks a rapid ascent for the Bafilo-based club, which moved from the third division to the top flight in just one year. While JCA de Lomé entered the match with a highly offensive record, SARA FC's performance secured them the championship trophy for the 2026 season.
