Sara Kousková Sets New Czech Record at British Open
Czech professional golfer Sara Kousková posted a 67‑stroke round, four shots under par, in the final round of the British Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes. The performance moved her from 35th after the third round into the top ten of the tournament and secured a new best finish for a Czech player on a major, surpassing the previous record of 50th place set by Klára Davidson Spilková in 2018.
Kousková, 27, entered the major for the second time after missing the cut in her debut the previous year. Her round featured five birdies on the first eleven holes, a brief bogey, and three consecutive birdies on holes 13‑15, before a double‑bogey and a bogey on the final two holes. The result earned her a place in the spotlight of golf media and a share of the tournament’s $10 million prize pool.
