Sara Montecinos wins W70 200m world title in South Korea

Chilean athlete Sara Montecinos has won the gold medal in the W70 category 200-meter sprint at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Daegu, South Korea. The 72-year-old athlete recorded a time of 30.33 seconds, improving upon her previous mark of 30.79 seconds set in Gothenburg.

Montecinos, who is also an anesthesiologist, successfully defended her world title in the 200-meter event. She is scheduled to compete in the 400-meter race, an event in which she currently holds the W70 world record with a time of 1:10.62.
