Sara Netanyahu accused of physical abuse and racist treatment of staff

A former employee, identified only as “Y”, told Israel’s Channel 12 that Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, repeatedly assaulted and humiliated staff at the official residence in West Jerusalem. Y said Sara Netanyahu pushed him three times, called him “the country’s chief psychologist” while insulting his autistic son, and used racist language toward Mizrahi (East‑origin) Jews and foreign workers.

The employee also described discriminatory practices toward an African female worker, including forcing her to change clothes, denying water breaks, and serving expired food. Sara Netanyahu allegedly imposed obsessive cleaning rules, inspected staff hands for soap, prohibited stepping on rugs, required hangers to be wiped with wipes, and once threw a suit belonging to the prime minister on the floor, demanding the employee pay for the damage.

Y claimed that the prime minister’s son, Yair Netanyahu, also physically assaulted staff. The family has not issued a comment. The allegations have sparked public debate in Israel about the conduct of the prime minister’s household.
