Sarabatall Foundation marks 25 years of development in Pakistan

The Sarabatall Foundation, based in Caspe, Spain, is celebrating 25 years of humanitarian work in the Hushé valley of Pakistan. The initiative, which began in 2001, has transformed Hushé from one of the region's poorest villages into a more prosperous community.

Through the foundation's efforts, the village—located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters in the Karakorum mountains—has seen significant improvements in mortality rates, access to education, and the implementation of adapted agricultural practices. The project was inspired by the late porter Eldese de Little Karim and driven by the late journalist and writer Sebastián Álvaro.

A commemorative gala was held at the Teatro Goya in Caspe to mark the anniversary. The project has operated primarily through local support from the Caspe City Council and the Government of Aragon, rather than through central Spanish government institutional aid.
