Sarah Adwoa Safo recognizes brother as Kantanka family leader

Sarah Adwoa Safo, a lawyer and former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, has publicly recognized her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, as the leader of the Kantanka family and the Kristo Asafo Church.

The move aims to resolve a long-standing succession dispute that emerged following the death of their father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo, the founder of the Kantanka Group and the Kristo Asafo Church, in July 2026. In a statement issued on October 8, 2026, Adwoa Safo stated she has “chosen the path of reconciliation, founded upon love, mutual respect and the enduring undisputed bonds of family.”

She expressed her intention to work alongside Israel Kwadwo Safo to preserve their father’s vision and legacy, describing it as a “collective inheritance and a profound responsibility” for their children. The reconciliation follows previous months of disagreement regarding the leadership mandate.
