Sarah Engels duels Evelyn Burdecki on ProSieben and reflects on Eurovision showing

On Tuesday evening ProSieben broadcast a live duel between singers Sarah Engels from Cologne and Evelyn Burdecki from Düsseldorf, revisiting the "Schlag den Star" format. The competition, moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel, attracted around five million viewers (approximately an 11 % market share) and concluded as the fastest victory in the show’s history.

Engels, who represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with the song "Fire", finished 23rd of 25 entries. She later praised the experience, emphasizing a stage moment that highlighted female solidarity and her love for direct audience interaction. Following Eurovision, she resumed her role as Satine in the Cologne production of the musical "Moulin Rouge!".
