Sarah Ferguson to inherit portion of late F1 tycoon Paddy McNally’s estate

Formula One hospitality magnate Paddy McNally, who died at age 88, left an estate valued at roughly £600 million, including a £76 million mansion at Sevenhampton Place, a villa in southern France, ski chalets in Verbier, Switzerland, and a grouse moor in Scotland. Sources say he will bequeath a sizeable share of this fortune to his former partner, former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, with whom he was involved from 1982 to 1985 after she worked as a nanny for his two sons.

Biographer Andrew Lownie noted that Ferguson remained close to McNally’s circle after their breakup, and the Daily Mail has reported that the will is expected to name her as a beneficiary. The reported inheritance follows a long‑standing personal connection that once included anecdotes such as former F1 champion James Hunt describing Ferguson’s “loudest” night‑time sounds during a race weekend.
