In a statement shared on social media, Saldmann described the decision as “mûrement réfléchie” (well-considered) and necessary to align her professional path with her personal convictions and priorities. She specifically cited the growing influence and importance of the media outlet Frontières as a primary reason for her exit.

This departure follows a period of tension, including a recent confrontation with Pascal Praud on CNews regarding Frontières. The move comes amid shifting media dynamics, including Lagardère News acquiring a 25% stake in Frontières, further integrating that outlet within the broader media ecosystem associated with CNews and Europe 1.
