Sarah Santaolalla Weighs Joining New Channel La Séptima as TVE Future Hangs in Balance

Television analyst Sarah Santaolalla told El Mundo she may join the upcoming digital terrestrial channel La Séptima, a project led by José Miguel Contreras. She said she has received political offers but will not enter politics while she remains in the media, adding that any future announcement would be made "like the King's Christmas broadcast." Santaolalla also speculated about a possible exit from Spain’s public broadcaster RTVE if a right‑wing government takes power, saying she might be dismissed in the first or third year but would still have opportunities. She joked that her life in September will make "seven turns of seven degrees," hinting at the channel’s name. The comments follow her work on shows such as "Malas lenguas" and "Mañaneros 360," and come as La Séptima prepares for a launch in the autumn.
