Sarah Snook among nominees for 2026 Emmy Awards

Australian actress Sarah Snook has been nominated for a lead‑actress Emmy for her role in the drama series All Her Fault. She joins a slate of A‑list nominees that includes Gary Oldman, Noah Wyle, Keri Russell, Jean Smart and Sally Field.

Major series in contention are The Pitt, The Bear, Hacks, Beef and All Her Fault, with surprise entries such as the political thriller The Diplomat, the comedy Margo’s Got Money Troubles and Apple TV’s horror thriller Widow’s Bay. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earned a record nine nominations, covering variety series, writing, directing, lighting design and music direction.

Eligibility rules this year barred the Canadian‑produced series Heated Rivalry from the US Emmys, though it remains eligible for the International Emmys after a sweep at the Canadian Screen Awards. Rule changes also mean variety‑show nominees are not directly competing and the “television movie” category has been renamed simply “movie”. A total of 555 programs – 110 dramas and 71 comedies – were submitted for consideration, with the eligibility window running from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026. The ceremony will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay, marking the first female host of the Emmys.
