Sarah Wairimu Cohen murder trial continues in Kenya

The murder trial of Sarah Wairimu Kamotho Cohen, accused of killing her husband, Dutch businessman Tob Cohen, continued at the Kibera High Court with testimony from three prosecution witnesses.

Police officers testified regarding repeated distress calls and reports of domestic disputes at the couple's residence in 2019. One officer recalled a visit following an assault complaint where Cohen reported being assaulted by his wife. A former employee also testified to seeing Cohen bleeding during a previous incident.

Tob Cohen, the former CEO of Philips East Africa, disappeared in July 2019. His body was later discovered in an underground rainwater tank on his property, showing signs of torture. Wairimu has vehemently denied the murder charges. The trial is scheduled to resume on September 29, 2026.
