Sarajevo and Republika Srpska highlight political and youth leadership

In Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Šteta, the Minister of Transport and President of the SDP Cantonal Organization, has announced his candidacy for the Sarajevo Canton Assembly. Šteta highlights his administration's focus on infrastructure, including the procurement of new trams and trolleybuses, the expansion of the tram line to Hrasnica, the introduction of night transport, and the restoration of trolleybus services in Vogošća.

In a separate regional development story, Marko Knežević, a student and long-time volunteer from Laktaši, has been recognized for his youth activism. Knežević, who serves on the Board of Directors of the Youth Council of Republika Srpska, began his community work at the Center for Children, Youth, and Family in Laktaši. He was named the 2023 Volunteer of the Year for Republika Srpska.
