Sarajevo announces holiday musical lineup and theatre developments

Sarajevo is preparing for a series of cultural and musical events spanning the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027. Haris Fazlagić, President of the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board, announced a musical program for the holiday period. Confirmed performers for December 28, 29, and 30 include Tijana Dapčević, Valentino, and Neno Belan, while Divlje Jagode and Tony Cetinski are scheduled for January 1 and 2. The specific performer for the December 31 New Year's Eve celebration is awaiting confirmation from the City Administration.

In the cultural sector, the Sarajevo War Theatre (SARTR) reported significant growth following a four-year development cycle from 2022 to 2026. During this period, the institution realized 26 premieres, increased ticket sales by 95%, and expanded its audience reach by 90%. Through a combination of local government support and over 1.6 million euros in international funding from sources such as Creative Europe and the British Council, the theatre completed technical renovations and modernized its programming.
