Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Aid facility enters final renovation phase

The reconstruction and renovation of the Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Aid Institute's central facility is entering its final stages. The building, which has not undergone a comprehensive renovation since it opened in 1979, is undergoing significant infrastructure upgrades to improve working conditions for staff and the quality of emergency care for citizens.

The first phase, focusing on the exterior of the building, involved an investment of 2 million KM and is expected to be completed by mid-September. To facilitate the complete interior reconstruction, tenders have been announced for subsequent phases, including one valued at 600,000 KM and another for 1.3 million KM.

Sarajevo Canton Health Minister Enis Hasanović and the Institute's director, Jasna Husejinbegović Musić, inspected the works, noting that the project aims to provide modern, functional, and safe environments for medical professionals responding to life-threatening emergencies.
