Sarajevo Canton Government accused of failing to fund disability camp

Aida Hrnjić, president of the Colibri Association, which represents parents of children and individuals with developmental disabilities, has publicly criticized the Sarajevo Canton Government for failing to fund a planned summer camp.

Hrnjić stated that the government failed to pay the funds for the project despite it being previously planned and detailed. She accused the administration of neglecting its obligations, suggesting that officials were preoccupied with social events like the Sarajevo Film Festival while children were left waiting for essential services.

Furthermore, Hrnjić criticized the government and the Sarajevo Canton Assembly for collecting vacation allowances while failing to fulfill commitments to vulnerable populations. She emphasized that parents and activists will continue to fight for the rights of children with developmental disabilities.
