Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister criticizes Union leader over work stoppage

The Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton has criticized Saudin Sivro, president of the Union, regarding a planned work stoppage scheduled for October 1. The Prime Minister questioned Sivro's claim that the current administration is the ‘worst government since the Canton's inception,’ noting that Sivro had previously described the same government as the ‘best regarding workers' rights.’

The Prime Minister stated that amendments to the Collective Agreement have already been adopted and signed by both the government and the Union, and the document has been sent for publication in the Official Gazette. He suggested that the Union may be using the pending publication as a lever to influence the political atmosphere or election results, labeling the move as ‘cheap and transparent politics’ rather than a genuine defense of workers' rights.
