Sarajevo hosts art exhibitions by David Samic and Ljupka Dizdar

Sarajevo is hosting two notable art exhibitions. The French Institute in Sarajevo organized an exhibition for David Samic, a young director and painter of Bosnian roots born in Paris. Samic, whose artistic pseudonym is pronounced ‘Samik’, comes from a family of intellectuals, including painters and writers, and has a history of participating in various cultural festivals and exhibitions.

Additionally, the Center for Culture and Youth of the Centar Municipality is presenting a solo exhibition by Ljupka Dizdar titled “Tamo gdje sretni ljudi žive…” (Where Happy People Live...). The exhibition, held at the European House of Culture and National Minorities in Kemal Monteno Park, explores themes of peace, melancholy, and belonging through small, everyday moments. Dizdar, an architecture graduate who returned to painting in 2021, has previously exhibited in Belgrade and Novi Sad.
