Sarajevo hosts heritage showcase of Herzegovina Archive

The Archive of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton presented part of its cultural‑historical collection at the Museum of Sarajevo in a special event titled “Mosaic of Archive Heritage”. The programme highlighted the Archive’s monograph, its Oriental collection and the work of renowned Herzegovinian researcher Hivzija Hasandedić. Museum director Indira Kučuk Sorguč stressed the partnership as a model for protecting and promoting Bosnia‑Herzegovina’s cultural heritage, while Archive director Amir Kadribegović noted that the Archive has not held an event in Sarajevo since 2025 and announced two new exhibitions and two scientific conferences before year‑end. Speakers highlighted the richness of the Oriental sources, collected by Hasandedić, as one of the most valuable holdings for the study of regional history.
