Sarajevo and Tuzla host major autumn cultural festivals

Sarajevo and Tuzla are hosting several significant cultural events this autumn. The 66th MESS international theatre festival will take place from October 2 to 10, featuring artists from various countries including Palestine, the Netherlands, and the USA. The festival's theme, ‘Znamo. Šta sad?’, focuses on social responsibility and the consequences of war and violence.

In Sarajevo, the musical ‘Sarajevo, moje drago’ is returning to the National Theatre stage. The production, which explores the city's history through music and dance, has reached over 5,000 spectators to date. Additionally, the Jazz Fest Sarajevo is celebrating its 30th anniversary from November 4 to 7, hosting musicians from 16 countries, including the Macedonian National Jazz Orchestra and Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, the 15th Tuzla Film Festival is scheduled to begin on October 14. The five-day event will include the 28th International Documentary Film Festival in Tuzla, a dedicated kids' film festival, and various workshops and masterclasses for film professionals and audiences.
