Sarajevo hosts two major regional conferences in 2026

The third edition of the "Horizonti kapitala" conference will be held on 1 October 2026 at the Swissôtel Sarajevo, organized by ASA Bank. The event aims to bring together regional and international experts to discuss capital‑market trends, investment opportunities and economic development. ASA Bank, celebrating its ten‑year anniversary, highlighted the conference’s role in shaping the market, with bank president Samir Mustafić stating that the platform seeks to create sustainable partnerships for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.

From 13 to 15 August 2026, Sarajevo will also host the international "Sarajevo Mayors Summit 2026" at the City Hall. The summit gathers mayors from cities across the Balkans and Europe, EU and OSCE representatives, and other officials to discuss the role of capital cities in sustainable urban development, peace, dialogue and multiculturalism. Participants include the mayors of Zagreb, Ljubljana, Podgorica, Pristina, Ankara, Brussels and Istanbul, as well as EU delegation head Luigi Soreca, OSCE mission chief Marko Holtzstape and BiH foreign minister Elmedin Konaković. The event’s motto, “From Sarajevo to the future,” underscores Bosnia and Herzegovina’s ambition to deepen European integration.
