Sarajevo hosts World Veteran Judo Championships

The World Veteran Judo Championships have officially commenced in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a formal opening ceremony held at the Arena Hills. The event features experienced judo practitioners from around the world, emphasizing the longevity and philosophy of the sport.

During the second day of competition, ten athletes represented Bosnia and Herzegovina. While no medals were secured for the host nation on this day, Saša Kučuk came closest to the podium in the M4 over 100 kg category. After victories against competitors from Hungary, Poland, and Argentina, Kučuk was defeated by France's Franck Oneta in the bronze medal match.

Other local competitors included Miroslav Misić and Slobodan Minić, who both reached the repechage rounds before being eliminated.
