Sarajevo National Theatre to perform ‘Karius i Baktus’

As part of the ‘Kultura na ulice!’ festival, the children's play ‘Karius i Baktus’ is scheduled for September 2. The production is a co-production between the Center for Culture and Youth of the Centar Municipality and the Mundo Mondo Drama Actors Association.

Based on the characters by Norwegian author Thorbjørn Egner and directed by Mario Drmać, the play uses a humorous approach to teach children the importance of oral hygiene. The story follows characters named Karius and Baktus, representing cavities and bacteria, who live in a young girl's mouth until proper dental care removes them.

The ‘Kultura na ulice!’ project, supported by the Government of Sarajevo Canton, aims to bring professional art and culture closer to citizens through various multimedia forms. Admission to all programs within this special production of the Sarajevo National Theatre is free.
