Sarajevo school renovation and Belgrade campus project receive funding

In Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a contract worth more than 432,000 KM was signed to refurbish the courtyard and sports field of the Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar elementary school. The ceremony was attended by Cantonal Ministry of Education minister Naida Hota‑Muminović and Cantonal Finance Minister Afan Kalamujić, with funding provided by the entity Ministry of Education. The upgrade is intended to improve facilities for students and promote healthy habits.

In Belgrade, Serbia, the Minister of Education and the director of the International School of Belgrade, Šeri Maršal, signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Embassy to build a new, modern campus for the school. The project will create contemporary classrooms, science and technology labs, arts and sports spaces, enhanced security and sustainable design, consolidating all age groups on a single site. The International School, founded in 1948 and serving students from around 50 countries, will receive its first purpose‑built campus through this collaboration.
