Sarajevo youth projects receive 75,000 KM via Bloomberg Climate Fund
The City of Sarajevo has announced the selection of 13 youth-led projects to receive a total of 75,000 KM through the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund. This global program connects 300 cities worldwide to empower individuals aged 15 to 24 to implement local environmental solutions.
The funded initiatives focus on energy efficiency, clean energy, sustainable mobility, waste management, circular economy, and green infrastructure. The selection was divided into two categories: one for vocational secondary school teams and another for students, universities, and youth organizations.
Among the vocational school projects are initiatives such as “Živa učionica – Grow and Glow” and “Zeleni kilometri.” The second category includes projects like “NextGen Green” from the University of Sarajevo and “SolarEd” from the Pofalići Scout Troop. These projects aim to reduce pollution and promote sustainable development within the Sarajevo Canton.
