Sarajevo's Svrzina kuća hosts filming for ‘Pisma snova’
Production has continued for the film ‘Pisma snova’ (Letters of Dreams), directed and written by Haris Dubica. Recent filming took place at the historic Svrzina kuća in Sarajevo, a traditional Ottoman-era residence managed by the Sarajevo Museum.
The film, based on Dubica’s novel, features actors Tarik Filipović and Džejla Ramović. The narrative follows a young watchmaker named Dino, played by Harun Ćehović, who writes unmailed love letters to a woman named Hana, played by Ramović. Beyond the central romance, the story explores themes of friendship, family, and the socio-political issue of migration from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Svrzina kuća has served as a frequent filming location for decades due to its authentic architecture and preserved interior. The production includes various regional actors such as Nikola Kojo, Aldin Tucić, and Dragan Marinković Maca.
