Saratoga Hopeful Stakes features eight-horse field for Grade 1 juvenile race
The Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga features an eight-horse field of two-year-olds competing for a $300,000 purse. The race, a seven-furlong sprint, serves as a key indicator for future Triple Crown contenders.
The Good Life, trained by Brad Cox and owned by WinStar Farm, First Go Racing, and CHC, enters the race following a dominant maiden victory at Saratoga. Jockey Manny Franco will ride the colt from the inside post. Another WinStar homebred, Lifesong, trained by Will Walden, is also entered in the field.
Other notable entries include Booked, trained by Steve Asmussen, who enters as a favorite. The field also includes High Official, Flight Command, Midnight Still, Constant Force, and Mystrix. The race is scheduled as the tenth race on the Sunday Saratoga card.
