Saratoga horse racing: Magnitude breezes toward Whitney, Ole Crazy Bone eyes Clement Stakes

Grade‑1 winner Magnitude posted a breezing half‑mile in 50.23 seconds at Saratoga, his first workout since winning the Stephen Foster on June 27. The three‑year‑old is now pointed toward the Grade 1, $1 million Whitney on Aug. 8. Fellow graded‑stakes winner Chip Honcho also worked, aiming for the Jim Dandy on Aug. 1.

Bowling Green Stakes victor Ole Crazy Bone, fresh from a strong win, is being considered for the Grade I Christophe Clement Stakes on Aug. 15, a “Win‑and‑You’re‑In” path to the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Keeneland. Trainer Will Walden also mentioned Minaret Station and Fort George as potential contenders for the same championship races.
