Saratoga Oaks (G2) sees Fitz Right, Faithful Departed among eight fillies

On Friday, August 7, the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs hosted the $500,000 Saratoga Oaks (G2) over a 1,900‑metre turf course. Eight three‑year‑old fillies entered, led by Fitz Right, trained by Chad Brown, and Faithful Departed, trained by Grant Forster. Fitz Right previously placed third in the Belmont Oaks (G1) and won the Wonder Again (G2), while Faithful Departed was runner‑up in the Belmont Oaks after winning the Regret Stakes (G3). The remaining runners were Kentucky Belle, Code, Bless Her, Imaginationthelady, Just Aloof and Consensus View. The race was scheduled to start at 6:17 p.m. Venezuelan time.
