Saratoga Springs man sentenced to 210 months for child exploitation

Jeffrey Hart, 51, of Saratoga Springs, has been sentenced to 210 months in prison after pleading guilty to the distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material. According to federal prosecutors, Hart used an internet-based group messaging app to transmit a video depicting the sexual abuse of a child.

In addition to the distribution charge, Hart admitted to possessing at least 79 images and 29 videos of child sexual abuse on his mobile device. He had a prior conviction in New York state for possessing a sexual performance by a child. The sentencing was handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Anne M. Nardacci.
