Sarawak government agencies engage Tanjong Batu community

More than 20 government departments and agencies participated in the Political Secretary Outreach Program in the Tanjong Batu constituency, Bintulu. The initiative aimed to provide residents with direct information regarding government policies, assistance, and services.

Johnny Pang Leong Ming, the Tanjong Batu State Assemblyman, stated that the program is essential for ensuring the community understands and can benefit from the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030). He noted that many citizens remain unaware of specific aid types, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.

By bringing agencies directly to the people, the program allows residents to ask questions regarding development project statuses, educational opportunities, and welfare. Participating agencies included Sarawak Energy, Sarawak Water, Yayasan Sarawak, the Public Works Department (JKR), and the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO), among others.
