Sarawak Governor conducts state honours ceremony and official visits

Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar has undertaken several official and personal engagements in Kuching. On August 27, the Governor presided over an investiture ceremony at the Astana Sarawak, where he conferred State honours upon 155 recipients for their service.

In preparation for Malaysia Day 2026, the Governor also recorded a special message at the Astana, which is scheduled to be broadcast on TV Sarawak (TVS) on September 15. This annual observance commemorates the 1963 formation of the Federation of Malaysia.

Additionally, the Governor and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi visited the Sarawak Science Centre in Petra Jaya to view interactive STEM exhibitions and science-based learning facilities. The couple also spent time on a private family outing at The Spring Shopping Mall, where they encouraged the community to use public holidays to strengthen family relationships.
