Sarawak Governor Wan Junaidi confers state honours on 151 recipients

Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junoidi Tuanku Jaafar presided over an investiture ceremony at Astana Negeri Sarawak on July 30, 2026, awarding state honours to 151 individuals for their service and contributions to the state’s development. Ten recipients received the highest award, the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak (Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang), while 20 were given the Public Administration Medal (Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti) and others received various ranks of the Bintang Sarawak and related medals.

The ceremony, conducted with full traditional protocol, was attended by the governor’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, Minister in the Department of the Premier of Sarawak Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai, senior state officials and federal representatives. The event highlighted the state’s recognition of public servants, community leaders and other contributors across Sarawak.
