Sarawak State Legislative Assembly to hold final term sitting

The 19th Sarawak State Legislative Assembly is scheduled to hold its final sitting of the current term from October 12 to 21. The eight-day session will feature the tabling of four government bills.

Two financial bills are on the agenda: the Supply (2027) Bill, 2026, and the Supplementary Supply (2026) Bill, 2026. Additionally, the assembly will consider two statutory amendments regarding the Sarawak State Library and public holidays.

Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar noted that the session includes opportunities for government backbenchers and opposition members to debate the financial legislation. As of late September, the House had received 336 parliamentary questions from 40 assembly members.
