Sarawakku Sayang 2026 programme held in Betong Division

The Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 programme was held in the Betong Division, featuring a series of events designed to strengthen engagement between the state administration and local communities. Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg officiated the programme at the Betong Sports Complex, emphasizing a development agenda focused on the well-being of the people and inclusive social progress.

During the visit, the Premier met with Community Leaders and Village Heads (KMKK) to discuss local concerns and the specific needs of residents. He also visited the Bebuling Agropark Gallery in Spaoh to review progress on agricultural developments. Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas also attended, highlighting the importance of agriculture, tourism, and local products in boosting the division's socio-economic standards.

The event included the “Betong Kitchen & Sales” initiative, which provided a platform for local entrepreneurs and welfare micro-entrepreneurs to promote and sell agricultural produce and handmade goods. This initiative aims to foster economic self-reliance and reduce dependence on welfare assistance by empowering residents through entrepreneurial development.
