Sardar 2 box office collections drop 45.6% on second day
Karthi's spy-action sequel, Sardar 2, has experienced a significant decline in box office performance during its second day of release. After opening with a net collection of Rs 4.50 crore on its first day, the film saw a 45.6% drop on September 11, earning Rs 2.45 crore net in India.
As of the end of the second day, the film's total India net collection stands at approximately Rs 6.95 crore, with an India gross of Rs 8.15 crore. Globally, the film has reached a worldwide gross of roughly Rs 10.65 crore, including an overseas gross of Rs 2.50 crore.
Regional performance shows the Tamil version as the primary driver, contributing Rs 1.75 crore from 2,308 shows with 19% occupancy. The Telugu version contributed approximately Rs 70 lakh from 1,053 shows, maintaining a 20% occupancy rate. Overall occupancy across 3,361 shows fell to 19.3% on the second day.
