Sardegna Al Centro 20 Venti holds regional committee meeting in Sassari

The regional committee of the Sardegna Al Centro 20 Venti movement met in Sassari to evaluate the party’s current status, growth prospects in Sardinia, and upcoming political and administrative challenges.

The meeting included regional councilors Antonello Peru, Alberto Urpi, and Stefano Tunis, along with regional secretary Francesco Lippi, metropolitan and provincial coordinators, mayors, and local administrators. The group emphasized a strategy of territorial consolidation to strengthen the movement's presence within Sardinian communities ahead of upcoming elections.

A primary focus of the discussion was the demand for electoral reform. Antonello Peru called on the Government to approve legislation that would end the current second-level election system for metropolitan and provincial councils. The movement seeks to restore the right of citizens to directly elect their representatives in local government bodies to enhance democratic legitimacy.
