Sardinia allocates 4 million euros for aircraft maintenance training

The Sardinia Region has launched a 4 million euro initiative to fund the training of new aircraft maintenance technicians. Promoted by the Regional Labor Department and implemented by ASPAL, the program provides individual vouchers of up to 30,000 euros to cover the costs of obtaining the European-recognized Aircraft Maintenance License (LMA – Part 66).

In addition to tuition, the vouchers can cover travel, food, and accommodation expenses for students attending courses outside of Sardinia. Regional Labor Assessor Desirè Manca stated that the measure aims to provide young people with high-profile opportunities in a dynamic and expanding global sector while removing economic barriers to specialized education.

To qualify, applicants must be unemployed (with an active DID), aged between 18 and 31, and have resided in Sardinia for at least 12 continuous months. Other requirements include a high school diploma, an ISEE below 40,000 euros, and at least a B1 level of English proficiency. Applications can be submitted online via the ASPAL platform between October 1, 2026, and November 2, 2026.
