Sardinia allocates 50 million euros to municipal Fondo Unico
The Sardinia Regional Department of Local Authorities, Finance, and Urban Planning has approved the liquidation of an additional 50 million euros from the 'Fondo Unico' (Single Fund). This measure follows the increase mandated by regional law 20/2026.
The funds are being transferred directly to municipal treasuries to support the programming and administrative capacities of all Sardinian municipalities. The distribution follows a specific formula: 40% is allocated in equal parts to all municipalities, while the remaining 60% is distributed in proportion to the resident population, a mechanism designed to account for the needs of smaller communities.
Regional Councilor Francesco Spanedda stated that the goal is to strengthen local autonomy by ensuring that responsibilities are matched with adequate financial tools, thereby improving service quality and territorial decision-making.
