Sardinia announces 561 vacancies for general medicine roles

The Sardinia Regional Health Department has issued an extraordinary call for 561 vacant general medicine positions for 2026. The recruitment drive aims to strengthen primary care coverage across all eight local health authorities (ASL) in the region, addressing shortages in both urban centers and peripheral or inland areas.

The distribution of vacancies includes 157 positions in the ASL of Cagliari, 116 in Sassari, 78 in Nuoro, 65 in Oristano, 62 in Gallura, 40 in Sulcis, 34 in Medio Campidano, and 9 in Ogliastra. This measure follows a regional assessment of healthcare needs and adheres to the new national collective agreement for general medicine.
