Sardinia holds regional meeting on sheep dairy supply chain

The Sardinia Regional Government held a meeting in Oristano to discuss the sheep dairy supply chain. The session, organized by the Department of Agriculture and Agro-pastoral Reform, focused on market trends, including production, sales, stock levels, prices, and costs.

Agriculture Minister Francesco Agus stated that the initiative aims to implement new tools to prevent the devaluation of Pecorino Romano and other local dairy products, which directly impacts milk prices. The regional government has been working with agricultural organizations and cooperatives to define support measures. These include financial instruments such as minibonds and destocking measures, supported by Sfirs.
