Sardinia hosts autumn festivals celebrating food and culture

Sardinia hosted a series of cultural and culinary festivals throughout October 2026, aimed at promoting regional heritage and extending the tourism season beyond the summer months.

In Olbia, celebrations included Vermentino wine tastings, while Sassari featured traditional grilled foods. Alghero hosted Oktoberfest Sardegna, and various other towns like Simaxis, Solarussa, and Assemini highlighted local culinary traditions. Cities such as Cagliari and Iglesias integrated contemporary arts into the festivities.

In Oristano, the Wine Street Experience returned to the historic center, transforming the area into a contemporary Sardinian square. Organized by Craf da Banana, the event featured wine from Cantina Pala, craft beer from Birrificio BAM, and live cooking demonstrations showcasing local ingredients. Traditional music from Fantasias de Ballos accompanied the event, which was supported by the Municipality of Oristano and local businesses to promote regional excellence.
