Sardinia infrastructure and healthcare service updates

In Sardinia, local authorities have issued updates regarding healthcare availability and major infrastructure works.

Asl 5 Oristano has announced several gaps in medical continuity service (formerly guardia medica) for the weekend of September 18–20. While most districts remain operational, shifts in Narbolia, Oristano, Samugheo, and Tramatza are scheduled to be inactive during specific hours. Residents can use the European Harmonized Number 116 117 for non-urgent care to find the nearest active medical point.

Separately, Anas has announced the closure of a section of the SS125 Orientale Sarda near Orosei to facilitate safety works on the Sos Furones bridge. The project, valued at two million euros, is expected to last until March 2027. The closure affects the stretch between the Galtellì junction and the marble quarries. Alternative routes through Galtellì and Dorgali have been established to maintain territorial connectivity, though transit remains restricted to emergency vehicles and local landowners.
