Sardinia promotes inland tourism through cultural and musical events

Sardinia is shifting its seasonal focus from coastal areas to its interior regions through a series of cultural, gastronomic, and musical events scheduled for October and November. The initiative aims to promote seasonal de-seasonalization and encourage internal tourism.

Key highlights include the 'Autunno in Barbagia' circuit, which involves 33 towns and approximately 2,700 businesses, generating an estimated turnover of 12 million euros. Other notable programs include 'Saboris Antigus', 'Salude&Trigu', and various local festivals. The regional government is supporting these efforts by financing thirteen major tourist attractions.

In the musical sphere, Medinsard, a production center funded by the Ministry of Culture, will present 'Atlas' at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari on November 3. Directed by Matteo Muntoni, the performance features a ten-piece orchestra and blends composed structures with musical improvisation, drawing from minimalism and contemporary research.
