Sardinia tourism sees record growth in 2025

Tourism in Sardinia has reached record levels, with official data from the Autonomous Region of Sardinia reporting 21,922,765 tourist presences in 2025. This represents a 15.9% increase compared to 2024 and a 34.2% increase from 2023.

Key statistics from the period include over 5 million arrivals and an average stay of approximately 4.24 nights. International tourism accounted for 56% of presences, totaling over 12 million overnight stays, with foreign presences growing by 21.5% annually. The market for occasional rentals, such as independent villas and homes with private pools, has seen significant growth, increasing by 37.3% compared to 2024.

Preliminary data for the first half of 2026 also indicates continued upward momentum, with presences up 8.24% compared to the same period in 2025.
